Here we are, the fourth annual Open House post!  This is when I show off all of the hard work that my students have done the past few months with a plethora of pictures.  There are a lot of pictures below.  I have written a bit of text so you have some idea of what is going on, but if you click on the pink links, it will take you to a more indepth explanation of the project.  So, without further ado, here is Room 6! This is a full view of the right side of my room.  You can see the cabinets and student desks. Last week we had our annual Open House.  This is a night in the spring when parents come to see all the hard work that the students have done over the course of the year.  To be honest, until I started blogging, I thought this was a normal occurrence.  I have been a part of the same district my entire life (went through my own education here, and now back to teach :) ) so Open House was just something we did.  Now I see that not everyone takes part in this outside of my own little bubble ;) Since you all don't get a chance to see the entire thing on a daily basis like I do, I thought I would take time to show off my room to you.  There are no lesson ideas here...just pictures of my room.  LOTS of pictures of my room.  All of the things here I have written about on my blog in the last few months or so though, so they can be found (and I will link them soon, I promise!)  So, without further ado....Room 6. From the front to the side of the room......

OK...so I showed you my room for Open House, but I thought I would take you on a proper tour now.  These pictures are a mixture from the entire year.  My intention is to focus on the set up of it all, not necessarily the content of what is being learned (if that makes sense).  I will show you how my room is organized so that it works for my students and myself.  In each section, I have linked to the post that explains in more detail what is going on in that area of my room.  Feel free to click, as most of the forms and stuff I talk about are on those posts for free.  So without further ado, Room 6. Here is the view from the front door.  This was for Open House (and you have already seen this picture), but I wanted to set it up for you so you sort of know where we are. You can see my storage cabinets, my desk in the back corner, and my back door.  I also have my little round table with the black ottomans I bought (instead of making crate seats.........
