So here it is. My first linky party! What I love about blogs and blogging so much is the ability to get ideas from everyone and everywhere. Linky parties are my favorite, because they become a veritable one-stop-shop for whatever the topic at hand might be. And what is the topic of this newest party?? Go-To Books. I want to know what your teaching Go-To book is. What is that one resource that you couldn't live without? The one book that is above all others? For me, that resources is, hands down, The First Days of School: How to Be an Effective Teacher by Harry Wong. It has become my teaching bible. His straightforward approach to classroom management so closely aligns to my own personal feelings, it is as if we were a match made in heaven. From him I got the idea for my Procedure Manual and the practice, practice, practice that we do of said procedures.  I began to see the importance of routine and procedure in developing and maintaining an effective classroom.......
