Best of 2012

Christina over at Bunting, Books, and Bainbridge is having a linky party about the Best things in Blogging in 2012 and I thought I would join in the fun!

There are so so so many things that this year has brought me to brag and share about the blogging world, that it really is going to be hard to narrow it down.  I want to just say EVERYTHING...that everything about blogging has been fantastic and positive and life altering, because, in truth, it has.  But I know that would make for a very boring and short post (and if you know anything about me by now, you know that short posts are NOT my thing ;) )  So here we go...some of 2012's bests.

 Best Freebie

I usually share no frills freebies with you.  A form here, a printout there.  Things I use in my class that I thought you might as well.  But this little gem that I shared really seemed to resonate with you all.  I got so much great feedback from this Book Order Form Math page I did...and I am so so so glad you all liked it!  I know my kids loved it, and I was hopeful yours would to.  And based on what you guys told me...they did!  Here it is again for you all.

Most Viewed Post

This Calendar Math post, my very first in which I explained the math process that I use and LOVE so very much, has more hits than any other single post on my blog.  Nearly 3x that of its nearest neighbor.  This really makes my heart happy.  I am so very glad that the idea that you can use calendar math in the upper grades just as they do in the primary grades has hit home with so many people.  I am also so happy to know that many many people are now using Calendar in their rooms.

Best Selling Product

This reading log, which I have used for so many years, has become my best selling product on TpT.  I am floored by how many people have bought it...and am so very grateful to know that I am not the only one who was tired with the "Mom, sign this" type logs.

My Favorite Post

This post, which I actually only wrote a few days ago, is my most favorite post.  I just feel like it says everything I want to say about why I love this profession so much.  It really does get to the heart of why I teach.

The BEST Blogging By Product

I got into blogging to share my ideas with the world.  I stayed because of the people.  I wrote about them here already, but I have to mention them again.  Jen at Runde's Room, Kristen at Ladybug's Teacher Files, and Kim at Joy in 6th Grade have been my go to people during this journey.  Elizabeth at Fun in 4B is always there to lend a hand or an ear.  Susie, the Panicked Teacher, is an amazing friend and a great support.  All of these people (and many, many more) are the reason I am still in this blogging game.

And then there is you.  I really honestly and truly wouldn't have stuck around without you here.  I get so excited when a notification comes in saying you have left a comment for me.  I love the professional dialogue we have here and the ideas I learn when you post on my blog or facebook page. When you post pictures of what you have done in your room on my wall, it makes me so excited!  I LOVE that you are here on this journey with me.  And I hope you continue to be here for years to come, collaborating and learning from each other.

So what has been great for you in 2012??
